A BREATHLESS ENCOUNTER OF THE COSMOS
On a moonless desert night
where the visual expanse is outside definition
an eerie quietness interrupted by a distant howl
I look for answers…. maybe questions
movement in all directions
beyond simple explanations
as the sky provides a lightshow of
glistening … streaking … glowing
moving … vanishing … appearing objects
on a trajectory beyond my earthy vision
too grand for simple minds comprehension
magnificent heavenly display
a mysterious unraveling in this majestic overview
stars of undefinable sizes close and farther away
than eyes can explain
than feelings can express
streaks of lights dancing
way beyond constellations
rapidly beating heart
churning inners…sweat dripping
a glorious awareness unleashing
a breath defying encounter
with whom … with what
definitions revoked
explanations cancelled
I touch the surface of a different dimension
where the past … present … future collide
in an effort for more clarity
pause … listen … surrender
I await a better understanding of the unknown
on this quiet … warm … cloudless
almost surreal desert night
