Are you and experienced grant writer???
WANTED! One experienced grant writer to investigate the Rural Arts Initiative Grant Program of the Laura Jane Musser Fund to:
- Determine whether it would be appropriate for Hawaii Writers Guild to apply to this program for a grant during its next application period, which is anticipated to be in February and March 2022;
- Provide guidance to the Guild in formulating an appropriate grant application by investigating the programs that have been funded in prior cycles and assisting members of the Guild in writing the grant application.

Funding decisions from this application period will be announced in July 2021.

(Note that a number of grants have been awarded in prior years to organizations in Hawaii, including to the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra Society right here in Kamuela, HI, and to the Hawaii Children’s Theatre in Lihue, HI. Although neither of these organizations involved writing, the Fund does support opportunities for children and adults in the area of “literary arts,” as well as “visual, music and performing arts.”)
