Sacred Place Cards: A Return to the Source--A Transmedia Proposal
Our project provides a medium for perpetuating reverence, respect, and the preservation of the natural world through the concept of sacred sites. This project will replicate the format of Mana Cards: The Power of Hawaiian Wisdom, book and card-deck. Each card will contain an image of a landmark, storytellers, chant, and stories related to a specific place. Through consultations with our extensive network of widely acknowledged and respected indigenous Hawaiian elders and caretakers of various sites, we will identify traditional sites to include. We will also include new stories about sacred sites around the island that are springing forth.
