Attention All Members of the Hawaii Writers Guild
Hawaii Writers Guild is looking for a Newsletter editor!!!
Our Guild is growing! We now have members on Kauai, Oahu and Maui, as well as the Big Island (and various locations on the mainland). We are therefore looking for a Guild member, preferably with journalism or newsletter experience, to become the editor of a Hawaii Writers Guild Newsletter. This on-line newsletter would be published three or four times a year and would include news and pictures about new members, member activities on all the islands and stories about the latest endeavors of the Guild.
Here's a link to a similar newsletter, called The Bulletin, published by the California Writers Club. Ours would be shorter, because that group has 22 chapters, but it will give you an idea of the kinds of stories that could be included. Click on this link to the current issue of The Bulletin to explore the content.
If this opportunity to shape the look and content of the first ever Hawaii Writers Guild Newsletter excites you and you would enjoy reaching out to our members to learn about them and their Guild activities, please contact our public relations director, Joy Fisher at [email protected] to discuss this opportunity.
